This week's "How to Wear" has been temporarily changed. I was inspired to do this post because of a charity ball that a friend and I went to the past Saturday. Everyone looked so gorgeous. This particular friend of mine is also attending a ball in April with her boyfriend who's in the Navy. This week, I'm doing a "What to Wear" post. If you need some inspiration on what to wear to a ball or any other special occasion requiring a gown, you've come to the right place!
You want a gown that is flowy. A stiff, fitted dress will only make you uncomfortable. A dress that moves with you is beautiful, romantic, sexy, and most importantly, comfortable! These three dress are all examples of gowns that would work at most any occasion.
When in doubt, go with a nude pump. A nude shoe will elongate your legs, match the dress, and add a touch of softness to your look. In my opinion, you always go with a nude shoe, no matter what.
Your bag is the finishing piece. I suggest a clutch. It's small and easy to hold, but will fit your essentials in it. Just like with the shoes, a nude clutch is your best bet. Granted it's fun to have a brightly colored bag, but not for balls or special occasions. Have fun with the style of the clutch, not the color.
